Grounded Vigilance Training Group, LLC · Effective April 25, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at groundedvigilance.com and all training courses, materials, and related services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Grounded Vigilance Training Group, LLC ("Grounded Vigilance," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing the website, registering for a course, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
You must be at least 18 years old to enroll in a course on your own behalf. Participants under 18 may attend a course only if (a) a parent or legal guardian is in attendance for the entirety of the course, or (b) a parent or legal guardian provides written approval of the minor's enrollment in advance. By enrolling a minor, the parent or guardian represents that they have the legal authority to do so and accepts these Terms on the minor's behalf.
Grounded Vigilance provides personal security awareness and digital safety training. Courses are currently delivered in person at locations identified at the time of registration. We may add online or hybrid offerings in the future, and these Terms apply to all delivery formats.
Course registration is completed through the website using a third-party payment processor (Stripe). You agree to provide accurate registration information and authorize the charge of all applicable fees. Your seat in a course is confirmed only when payment has been successfully processed.
All cancellations, transfers, and refunds are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The policy in effect at the time of your registration governs that registration.
We are committed to a respectful, professional learning environment. By participating in a Grounded Vigilance course, you agree to:
We reserve the right to remove any participant from a course for violation of this Code of Conduct, without refund.
You understand that participation in in-person training carries inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, property damage, exposure to illness, and risks associated with travel to and from training locations. By registering for and attending an in-person course, you voluntarily assume all such risks and agree that Grounded Vigilance, its instructors, contractors, and venue partners are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
You are responsible for ensuring you are physically and medically able to participate. If you have a medical condition that may affect your participation, you must disclose it to us in writing before the course begins so we can determine appropriate accommodations or whether participation is advisable.
For the privacy and safety of participants, no audio or video recording, photography, or live streaming of course sessions is permitted without prior written consent from Grounded Vigilance. Grounded Vigilance may take photographs or video at courses for training, marketing, or operational purposes. If you do not wish to appear in such media, notify your instructor at the start of the course and we will make reasonable efforts to exclude you.
All course materials, including handouts, slide decks, videos, written content, branding, and methodologies, are the property of Grounded Vigilance Training Group, LLC and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use materials provided to you solely for your personal, non-commercial educational use. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, publicly display, or create derivative works from our materials without our prior written permission. Any unauthorized use terminates this license.
Our Services provide general security awareness education. They do not constitute legal, medical, psychological, law enforcement, military, or other professional advice. You should not rely on our Services as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who is familiar with your specific situation. Decisions about your safety and security are your own.
While we strive to provide accurate, useful, and current training, we make no guarantees regarding outcomes. No course can eliminate the risks of crime, violence, accident, or harm. Your application of what you learn is your responsibility.
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grounded Vigilance disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Grounded Vigilance, its members, instructors, contractors, or affiliates be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, in which case these limitations will apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Grounded Vigilance and its members, instructors, contractors, affiliates, and venue partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of the Services, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party, or (d) any act or omission by a minor whose enrollment you authorized.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the Services at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time; the most current version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Services after revisions take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services that the parties cannot resolve informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Each party waives any right to a jury trial to the extent permitted by law.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. These Terms, together with the Refund and Cancellation Policy and the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Grounded Vigilance regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject matter.
